Imagine that a person’s actions affect who they are reborn as in the next life. The more good deeds, the higher the next status. Karma clocks are a tool that predicts your status after reincarnation. Tom Chichelli, an insurance company worker, has every chance to be reborn again as a human—until one day the device suddenly records a sharp drop in karma, leaving Tom with very little time to figure out what’s going on and how to fix what can still be fixed.
