“Quo Vadis” is a historical novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz.
The main theme of the work is the life of the first Christians in the Roman Empire during the reign of Emperor Nero, covering the period from 64 to 68 AD.
The book was translated into all major European languages and brought the writer worldwide fame. The enormous success of the novel greatly contributed to Sienkiewicz being awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1905.
