“People became people when they learned how to laugh!”
HOW TO CATCH A MAMMOTH? A prehistoric story.
This is the first book in the series "History Lessons" that I wrote together with my friend Alyosha Dmitriev. Judging by the title alone, you can tell this book is completely useless. Of course, reading it, you may learn what prehistoric people dug pits and how they caught mammoths—but you won’t be able to catch them. The reason is simple: mammoths simply don’t exist. Just like saber-toothed tigers and woolly rhinos.
And why, you ask, was this story written? For my own pleasure—and, I hope, for the pleasure of readers… and listeners, because Efim Shifrin did a wonderful narration.
Anyway, go ahead, curious listeners! Although, with regard to the story, it would be correct to say: Back, dear listeners!
Yours, Andrey Usachov
