In some people, their whole life seems to be built out of coincidences. They find their dream job after talking to someone in a park. They meet love while standing in line at a cafe. They get new experiences, take risks, and build connections simply because they love talking and listening to the people they meet. They don’t run away from others at full speed, and it seems they really live the life that many other people only observe from the outside. One day Jessica Pan—a lifelong introvert—decides to fight her fear of communicating with strangers and try her hand at being an extrovert, someone to whom everything works out. The experiment lasts a year and changes her beyond recognition.
