“The Inventions of Professor Wagner” (1926–1936) is a cycle of scientific-fiction works of various sizes and directions, with elements of social fantasy, urban fantasy, adventure prose, and irony and humor. The works were published both under a single cover and separately.
Professor Wagner is Alexander Belyaev’s favorite character, to whom he entrusted, in a playful form, the most incredible and heretical thoughts from the standpoint of science. Wagner can do anything: give sound to color, turn into radio waves, transplant a brain from a human to an animal, and even… change the earthly force of gravity!
