Incredible Adventures of Ivan Syla
An adventure story by the well-known children’s writer Oleksandr Havrosh tells about the bright adventures of the unmatched mountain strongman Ivan Syla. The prototype of the story’s main hero was the legendary Carpathian strongman Ivan Firtsak, who won the title of champion of Czechoslovakia and Europe in several sports and traveled half the world, performing in a circus where he achieved many striking victories.
In 2013, based on this story, the first Ukrainian children’s film of the third millennium, “IVAN SYLA,” was made; our edition is illustrated with graphic frames from that film.
