Description
Staged adaptation of the famous novel by Abbé Prévost

The action takes place during the Regency period (1715–1723). The narration is told in the voice of the Chevalier de Grieux. At seventeen, he finishes his course in philosophy at Amiens. In the seminary where he studies, he has a devoted friend—Tibерже—three years older than the Chevalier de Grieux. After passing his exams successfully, he plans to return to his father, but he meets a beautiful stranger who has just arrived in the city in a coach. She is Manon Lescaut, whose parents have decided to send her to a convent. De Grieux falls madly in love with her at first sight and persuades her to run away with him. Tiberge disapproves of De Grieux’s intentions, but he doesn’t listen to his friend’s warnings and secretly leaves the city with his beloved, heading toward Paris.
