Tales from Firozsha Baag

For the first time in Russian, a collection of stories is presented—the one from which Rohinton Mistry began his literary career. Later, these stories became the basis for his well-known novels “Family Matters” and “A Fine Balance,” both nominated for the Booker Prize. The collection includes eleven truthful and ironic stories about the lives of residents of the Firozsha Bag neighborhood in Bombay, including mailmen, shopkeepers, elderly people, children, priests, and students.
