Description

In a dacha outside Moscow, a murder is committed of the well-known documentary writer Igor Burmin. In the victim’s wallet, investigators find a large sum of money, a Japanese tape recorder, a typewriter, and expensive watches—all left untouched. That means the murder wasn’t committed for robbery. But who could need an inoffensive writer? Maybe revenge for his exposés? Or murder out of jealousy? The Criminal Investigation Department and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Moscow Region begin an investigation and, gradually unraveling the tangle of events, establish that the threads lead back to far-off 1943—in the Belarus occupied by the Nazis.
