Ways of Seeing

“Ways of Seeing” by John Berger is one of the most discussed and influential art books ever published. It was written based on the famous BBC film and first published immediately after the film’s premiere in 1972. In the same year, Sunday Times critic wrote: “Berger doesn’t just open our eyes to how we see works of visual art—he almost certainly will change the very way the viewer perceives art.” More than forty years later, we can confidently say that the prophecy came true.
