Arkady Timofeyevich Averchenko (1880–1925) was a well-known Russian journalist, writer, and playwright. His works were mostly satirical and humorous, but he also wrote stories about children. In his writings he created vivid, funny images of children, observing their behavior brilliantly. Today children aren’t as naive as before, but overall they’re still as wonderful and terrible as they were then.
