Ilya Yefimovich Repin: An Audio Biography

The audiobook is devoted to Ilya Efimovich Repin— the greatest master of Russian realism, whose work became a художественной хроникой (artistic chronicle) of Russia in the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th. His famous paintings—“Barge Haulers on the Volga,” “Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan,” and “The Zaporozhian Cossacks”—as well as an entire series of profound psychological portraits, largely determined the course of development of Russian painting.
