Elena Ershova is a Russian writer, author of mystical works in the “horror” genre.
She became famous for her trilogy “Legends of the Twilight Age.” The first two books in the series won top places in literary contests. With a degree in education and experience in psychological work with socially dangerous families and difficult teenagers, the author actively draws on her knowledge in books where the heroes are placed in trying situations.
Her novel “Ichtis” also earned a prize at the “Mif.Today” contest organized by the publishing house “Eksmo,” and made it onto the shortlist of the “Elektronnaya Bukva” award run by the LitRes portal.
The novel’s main character, Pavel, is a journalist who exposes charlatans who exploit the themes of providence, extrasensory perception, and paranormal phenomena. Pavel has his own reasons for hating these “specialists.” One day, he sets off for a remote village to bring down the founder of the community “Fish of Our Lord” — an old man who, they say, cures all illnesses, resurrects the dead, and performs other miracles. The journey turns out to be extremely dangerous, because the cult members are far from harmless sheep. What’s in store for Pavel in this wilderness — journalistic success, or a nightmare that will invade his new reality? The answer is in the audiobook.
