In a small town, a teenager disappears—by morning, his parents discover that Vova is not in his room, and all his things are left untouched. The boy’s sister knew that the night before he had a fight with a neighboring boy, Kirill, and decides to find out on her own whether Kirill is involved in her brother’s disappearance. Kirill, of course, denies any involvement, but mentions that after their altercation Vova went to examine one of the abandoned private houses outside the city. Assuming that he might disappear again in abandoned places, Kirill goes there with a friend. They don’t find the missing boy, but they find traces that he had been there and an old game he had left behind. They also find a note from the former resident of that house, from which they learn that everyone who lived there thirty years ago disappeared without a trace, just like Vova did now.
The kids realize that some supernatural, mystical forces are most likely behind it, and decide to figure everything out themselves, because they know adults won’t believe them.
