In December 2018, Colin O’Brady entered the race with Louis Rudd for the right to be the first person to cross Antarctica alone. Until then, no one had succeeded.
Anyone who dares to set foot on the snow-covered wilderness is threatened by many dangers: deep cracks are hidden under the snow, and air temperatures can deprive even the strongest and best-prepared people of life. Colin ended up on the coldest, most uninhabited continent. He walked through the strongest storm winds and penetrating freezes. But his biggest problem wasn’t fighting the forces of nature—it was overcoming himself. Throughout the journey, fears and doubts haunted him; he reflected on the past, searching for courage and inspiration in experience.
In 54 days, Colin covered 1,500 km and entered history. This journey changed his life forever.
