21st century. The number of satellites launched into Earth orbit since the beginning of the space age is already close to eight thousand. The thirst to understand the structure of the Universe, to find humanity’s place in infinity, as well as the ethical and practical questions of resurrection and immortality, concerned many—from the science-fiction writers and philosophers of the 19th century to the “father” of Russian rocketry, Konstantin Tsiolkovsky.
