The Crystal World

The story takes place in 1917, on the eve of the October Revolution. Two cadets, Nikolai and Yuri, stand guard at the Smolny building, having philosophical conversations on various topics as well. For example, Yuri tells that each person in this world has a mission that may turn out unexpected even for him. When asked how to find out one’s mission, Yuri reveals that at one time he listened to lectures by the founder of the religious-mystical doctrine of anthroposophy, Rudolf Steiner.
