In a small town in Abruzzo, a sinister secret is hidden. Lucia, who unwittingly became a witness to a tragedy thirty years ago, now receives as inheritance the land where it happened. At the same time, her daughter Amanda returns from Milan—broken and distant. Lucia tries to support and protect her daughter, but all her efforts prove futile: to become a support for Amanda, she must first deal with her own past. This is a story about the fragility of the human soul, forgiveness, healing, and hope—showing that a happy future is possible, even when what remains are the scars from early youth experiences.
