Description
Susanna Kotova has long turned her life into a safe cocoon: working from home, having groceries delivered to her door, and having no contact with the outside world due to severe agoraphobia. Her peace is shattered by a terrifying piece of news—her only friend, Yulia, is accused of the cold-blooded murder of a rival.
The evidence is irrefutable, and the influential father of the accused somehow manages to wash his hands of the situation. Susanna is the only one who believes Yulia is innocent.
To save her friend, she will have to do the impossible—go to a closed northern town and unravel a tangle of secrets from thirty-five years ago.
On this journey, Denis joins her—a cynical assistant to the detective, living in a race against his own diagnosis. Together, this odd couple plunges into the investigation, unaware that “good neighbors” can be more dangerous than wild beasts, and that the truth they are looking for is capable of destroying them as well.
