Many years ago, people like me were called seekers. They lived far from major settlements—in shacks hastily built out of sheets of plywood and tin. They made a living by wandering through the ruins of a vanished civilization and bringing traders whatever little remained that hadn’t been mercilessly eaten away by time. Everything that could be sold, traded, or used for their own needs was valued. But above all—weapons and ammunition.
