From the performer
I should say that I wanted to record this book from the very beginning, from the very first acquaintance with Moore’s work. Partly because, being a beta male myself, I feel sympathy for the main character :-)!
Partly because some of the twists and circumstances of his life also happen to me, and for me things became clearer. (about relationships with parents). And his attitude toward the dying is very appealing—projected by the author from himself and from his own circumstances—something that becomes clear at the end of the book in his traditional acknowledgments to those who helped it come into being.
