From Earth, on a large Intergalactic Biological Encapsulation Cosmic Ship—more simply, the M-bike—an expedition of people was sent to settle another planet suitable for life. And now, on the sixty-seventh year of the ship’s voyage, its expedition, consisting of several hundred people, is preparing to land on the planet. But what if the people are not the M-bike’s most valuable cargo, heading toward its goal?
