The first year at Merriwether High School is the worst imaginable for Melinda Sordino. Her friends hate her for calling the police and ruining a party at the end of summer break. Now Melinda is an outcast. So she decides to shut down—once and for all. The only place she finds relief is in her drawing lessons. Through them, Melinda tries to make sense of the nightmare she endured at the party. In the end, she will have to face her biggest fear head-on and start telling the truth.
