Human Grief: Suicidal Stories

It is not customary to talk about suicide. But unbearable inner pain, despair, feelings of uselessness or emptiness— in an endless variety of dark hues—overwhelm the mind and soul of many, many thousands of people. These thoughts live inside them, thoughts from which it seems you’re going insane…

Sometimes, like volcanic lava, they break to the surface, and for creative people, they ask to be written down… You are presented with audio versions of suicide stories by several contemporary authors. In them, as in sharp fragments of a screaming soul, the heroes’ struggles are reflected. Questions without answers, inner dialogues with oneself, attempts to make sense of it, to understand and… and finally find answers…

And those answers do exist! And if the hero finds them, then he is no longer simply a story character—he becomes a true hero in the full sense of the word: a person who found and overcame himself!
