Andrey Podshibyakin is a writer and the legendary columnist of the “noughties,” who wrote for all of the country’s major glossy outlets—from “Afisha” and “Esquire” to “Game.EXE” and “OМ.” His novel “The Last Day of Summer” (2023)—a horror in the spirit of Stephen King about 1990s Rostov—became a bestseller and one of the most discussed books of the year; in 2025, a series based on the novel is planned. One of the stories in “The Hungry World” will also be adapted.
