“Golem XIV” (Polish: Golem XIV) is a philosophical treatise by Stanisław Lem with elements of satire and science fiction, disguised as a part of a fictional collection of lectures by the artificial superintellect Golem XIV, with artistic forewords and an afterword. Begun in 1967[1][2], first published in the author’s collection of similar works “Imaginary Magnitude” (1973). In 1981, it was expanded by lecture XLIII and an afterword. Descriptions of the essence of the Golems have parallels with the ocean “Solaris.”
