Fröken Stål, the Bandits and the Locomotive

JAN ECKHOLM is a well-known Swedish writer and the author of wonderful books for children. His tale—"Tutta Karlsson, the First and Only, Ludwig Fourteenth, and other stories"—about the friendship between a chick and a fox became one of the most popular and beloved children’s books around the world. Jan Eckholm also wrote fun stories about the adventures of Fröken Stahl, which are being published in Russian for the first time.

It’s Crendle Peterson’s birthday—an outlaw from the provincial Swedish town of Where-you-please. And what do you think he got as a gift? A steam locomotive with two carriages!
