“Philosophical Abysses” is a cycle of essays by Reverend Justin (Popovich). Its genre is not easy to define: concise, integral texts that blend philosophy, theology, high poetry, preaching, and a parable. In philosophical terminology, this work by Justin (Popovich) can be classified as existentialism: the cry of the human being amid the senselessness, evil, and decay of the world toward God. Philosophy casts a person into the abysses of the “cursed questions.” True philosophy knows that the only way out is “to call out from the abyss to the Lord,” following the Psalmist.
