In the bestiary of creatures, you’ll encounter— a newcomer with one mind across three autonomous bodies, whose consciousness thinks via radio waves; a vampire who makes a multi-day crossing along the bottom of the Caspian Sea with a heavy anchor weight in his hands; all sorts of homunculi and androids. The human race is represented by space explorers—both external and internal; athletes “running” the ten-thousand-meter distance in a few hours, where the slowest one wins; fighters of a somnambulistic battalion who fight without waking, and many more. Of course, there are probably more androids and suspicious creatures.
The collection contains thirty stories—from cyberpunk to fantasy.
