Seattle, 1933. Single mother Vera Ray kisses her little son goodnight and leaves for a night shift at a local hotel. Seattle, 2010. Reporter Claire Aldridge writes an article about a May Day snow squall that paralyzed the city. It turns out that a similar storm happened almost eighty years earlier, and during that snowfall a boy also disappeared. Claire isn’t very enthusiastic about the case, but soon she discovers that Vera Ray’s story is intertwined with her own fate in the most unexpected way…
