“The Jewish State” is the best-known work (pamphlet) of the founder of the Zionist ideology, Theodor Herzl. The book was published on February 14, 1896 in Berlin and Vienna (M. Breitenstein’s Verlags-Buchhandlung), and in fact became one of the most important books of early Zionism, serving as its ideological foundation. In the book, the author outlined a program for establishing a Jewish state and showed that its creation is real and vitally necessary.
