In 2080, the world is run by three business ecosystems. Competition now exists only between them. Every resident of Earth is a client of one of them. Artificial intelligence has replaced many professions. “Human” creativity has long been declared unprofitable. There is no literature anymore; neural networks create movies and music. Yet success is still measured by high earnings and social status.

Tyler Kane is a young sales manager. He was unlucky: from birth he has only musical abilities, so he has no success in sales. Tired of bearing the stigma of a failure, one day—at the behest of the elite—he betrays himself by agreeing to play the role of a manipulator. But in this performance, staged according to the owners’ script, who is the puppeteer and who is the puppet—and what the ending will be is still unknown…
