Boris Aleksandrovich Vasilievsky (born March 22, 1939, Moscow) is a Russian writer and journalist.
The line of the North runs through the writer’s life and work; he is interested in history, ancient and new cultures, customs, nature, and the people of the region. Having left Chukotka, for many years he returned there again and again; many pages of his fiction and journalism are devoted to Chukotka. In one way or another, the North is present in his texts as well, wherever the author addresses the problems of personal development, moral-psychological conflicts, philosophical and existential questions.
