Edvard Munch, the creator of the famous painting "The Scream," is presented in this study as an artist with multifaceted creativity, including not only symbolism but also a unique philosophy. The book is devoted to the life and works of one of the most contradictory and mysterious masters of world painting. Munch’s work covers a wide range of themes and genres—from portraits and landscapes to everyday scenes and works with deep symbolic meaning. He also created graphic works. However, the importance of Munch lies not only in the variety of his art, but also in his special philosophical approach and ability to perceive and interpret the world ambiguously.
