Alexander Ivanovich Lapshin is a member of the Union of Journalists and editor-in-chief of the sound socio-political and literary-art magazine "Dialog".
In 1988, A. I. Lapshin published his first book, "The Path to Creative Achievements." In the years that followed, despite being heavily burdened at the magazine, he never abandons his literary work. His books include: "The Ascent" (1990), "By Trial and Error" (1994), "Just Say Something" (1995), "A Door in the Wall" (2003), and "A Novel of Loneliness" (2007). Essentially, these are essays about the lives of blind people—their psychology—written by a talented person who, moreover, has walked a long and arduous path of overcoming blindness.
The action of Alexander Lapshin’s suspenseful story "A Door in the Wall" takes place in a boarding school for blind children. In addition to its outward immediacy, it is distinguished by subtle psychological observations, precise and detailed knowledge of what the author tells, and a good, well-crafted language.
