A novel warmed by the sun of Cuba.
Tanya and her friends travel from Moscow on an exciting trip to the Island of Freedom—one that will forever change the fates of the main characters. The first part immerses us in the island’s stormy, intoxicating, exhilarating, unique atmosphere, where they meet Gabriel, an employee of the hotel in Varadero—the most famous resort area of Cuba. This meeting reveals new facets of their personalities, invites them into sensual pleasures and breaks their usual habits, and the inevitable coming reality forces the heroes to enjoy every minute they live. In the second part, in the light of spotlights, Gabriel comes to the foreground—his thoughts and feelings, the search for the meaning of life and new supports—as well as the life of an ordinary Cuban man, just as it is.
Debut travel novella by the traveler, blogger, and mother of three children Tanya Garcia. Tanya studied at Moscow State University’s Geography faculty as well as Kingston University in the UK. She currently lives abroad.
