To the young sorceress Bogdanka, ancient magic just wouldn’t come to her no matter how hard she tried. She could memorize all kinds of spells—still, it was one failure after another. The most worthy would earn the right to lead the circle dances and choose suitors, as well as receive valuable magical gifts; the loser would be given as a fiancée to Chernobog.
