This work is recognized as one of the most emotional, vivid books about the Civil War. The book has been reissued many times and published in Munich (2nd edition in 1947), New York, and other cities.
The book was written by General T urkul in 1937, “The Drozdovites in Fire” (another title: “For Holy Rus’”), and was literary processed by the writer Ivan Lukash. As the author wrote about his book: “The Drozdovites in Fire” is neither memoir nor history—this is a living book about living people, the combat truth of what they were like in the fire, what they should be like and what Russian White soldiers will inevitably be like.” The author dedicated his book to Russian youth.
