Description

A young snob, Illarion Fedorovich Likhachievsky, arrives in the remote village of Bolshaya Ruka looking for sensational material for his journalistic portfolio. In the village, a six-year-old girl disappears without a trace, and the report about this event is supposed to stir up public attention—and add another award to the record of this flashy journalist. But the deeper Illarion Fedorovich immerses himself in the life of Bolshaya Ruka, the more strange details surface in the case that interests him. Odd is not only the way of life of the villagers, but also the atmosphere hanging in the air—and judging by the abductions, these incidents have happened here before.
