The Precious Treasury of Pith Instructions

Longchen Rabjam is a great teacher of the Nyingma tradition—particularly Dzogchen, the teaching of the Great Perfection—who attained the realization of Dharmakaya, the completion of the stage of “exhausting appearances.”

“The Precious Treasury of Oral Instructions” is one of Longchenpa’s most significant and outstanding works, included in “The Seven Treasuries of Longchen” (Longchen Dzodun). It presents a collection of profound instructions on the teachings of sutras, tantras, and especially Dzogchen. In this treatise, the teacher gives priceless advice for those at every possible stage of spiritual practice and levels of realization—for both the most capable and those whose abilities for understanding are not so great— for all who relate themselves to “something.”
