Classic status deadens. It’s hard to imagine the author from the school curriculum as a living person—just a dusty bust of a bearded old man sitting on the top shelf of a library cabinet. On November 11, Russia and the world marked the 200th anniversary of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky. And on that day, we shouted all together: Dostoevsky is alive—interesting, contradictory, brilliant, complex, many-sided. School doesn’t tell the whole story: Dostoevsky is hundreds of times more interesting than the dull image from the textbook. We present you the project “Dostoevsky is not a writer!” We will show you Fyodor Mikhailovich that you’ve never heard of: an unbroken hero, a man in love, a brilliant translator, the author of humorous stories. Let’s meet Dostoevsky anew together with dubbing actors Darya Blohina, Anisa Murtayeva, Karen Arutyunov, and Albert Ibragimov.
