The Road

Several years have passed since some kind of (environmental? nuclear?) catastrophe that nearly wiped out the entire world. Almost all animals and birds are gone, all cities are destroyed, everywhere there are thousands of corpses dried out from old age, scorched earth, and gangs of feral people who don’t even disdain cannibalism. And everywhere, ever-present ash. Ash that keeps falling and falling from the sky — everywhere and in all places: on trees, roads, houses, and fields…

And against this backdrop — a father and a son. The son who was born right after the apocalypse and didn’t know any other life. And the father, feeling that he is incurably sick and is dying, decides to go with his son south, toward the sea. Why? Well, actually, there’s no reason. There’s no future, and there’s no hope…
