Description
A fallen-on-hard-times nobleman, Alonso Quixano, having read chivalric romances, declares himself a wandering knight—Don Quixote of La Mancha. Taking the guileless peasant Sancho Panza as his squire, he sets off to perform deeds in the name of justice. However, his lofty ideals are constantly shattered by the plain, everyday reality, giving rise to a chain of comic and tragic misunderstandings. This novel is both a wise parody of chivalric stories and an eternal parable about the collision between dreams and reality.
