Chronophysicist Laura Pavlova, sent by the Academy of Sciences, goes to Uranus, to the Institute of Experimental Atomic Time. She intends to work in the institute’s famous sixth laboratory, which deals with chrono-experiments involving the transfer of dead matter into living cells. But the only staff member—and at the same time the head of the laboratory—Gerd Semenyak has disappeared. And in the building itself, ghosts appear— a fact recorded by high-precision instruments.
In this laboratory they conducted the most complex, most promising experiments. So why was it shut down? Where is Gerd Semenyak? And how did this foolish rumor about ghosts come to be?
