Nine-year-old Mathias dreams every night of the Silent Lady. She doesn’t harm him, but with her silent and sad presence she instills in him fear of sleep. Concerned about their son’s condition, his parents turn to Pietro Gerbera, a hypnotist from Florence, who specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma. Gerbera agrees to look into the situation and soon finds himself pulled into a complicated story full of horror that the Silent Lady wants to reveal to him. In this story, themes of pure evil, murder, loneliness, escape, and long silence intertwine, and Gerbera has to untangle this knot while uncovering forgotten aspects of his own life.
