In any library, in any family, there are sure to be books by one of the most beloved children’s writers, Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky. Who doesn’t know his tales “Moidodyr,” “The Crocodile,” “Fedorino Grief,” “Aibolit,” and many others!
Today you will hear the fairy tale “Doctor Aibolit.”
You surely know this fairy tale in verse and have read it many times with great interest in kindergarten or at home:
“Kind doctor Aibolit, he sits under a tree…”
But K. Chukovsky wrote this tale about the kind and brave Aibolit and his friends—Chi-Chi the monkey, Avva the dog, and Carrrudo the parrot—in prose as well, and it is this dramatization that you will now hear.
