The Polish writer Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz (1898–1939) is the author of sixteen novels that have enjoyed unchanging success with readers. Some of them have not lost their relevance even to this day and are often reissued in Poland. The writer’s last novel, “The Diary of Mrs. Hanka,” was not presented in Russian. I really like it, and I would like all readers who appreciated the author’s other works to be able to enjoy this one as well. Therefore, even though I am not a professional translator, I dared to offer my own version of the translation. May this wonderful story delight you as much as it has delighted me for many years.
