Description
The author’s first novel, recognized at the 2nd literary residency of MIF and ASPIR.

Masha has never known her parents. She lives with her grandmother and grandfather in a small settlement in the Far East. For her grandmother, the granddaughter is a burden, and the hunter grandfather rarely comes home. The surrounding Amur forest is boundless and full of mysterious life. In this forest there is no place for adult injustice and indifference—only the resourcefulness and courage of the hero who finds himself alone with the frightening nature. You only need to overcome fear and step beyond what’s familiar…

Who this book is for

For those who value stories about personal growth, the search for the meaning of life, and inner struggle.

For readers who like it when fiction serves not just entertainment, but a means of rescue.

From the author

In a single sentence about the Far East, you can’t tell everything—and one whole book can hardly contain all its greatness and riches.

I had the honor to be born and live for 28 years in the lands of Amur, to absorb the spirit of a free region, to create it, to understand it, and to hear it. My story about the brave residents of the Amur Region is akin to the harshness of the Far East winters. Their strong spirit, hardworking nature, honesty, and selflessness, combined with a wide soul, continues to inspire me.
