The Diplomat

In one of the countries of the Arab world, a military coup takes place, and the center of it is a Russian diplomatic mission. Negotiations with the insurgents about evacuating diplomats, their wives, and children reach a dead end. To save the embassy staff there is only a use-of-force option, but the situation escalates so quickly that the special units won’t make it in time. All that remains is a complex multi-step psychological combination that could give a chance for rescue—and the diplomats have only a few hours to implement it.
