Eight-year-old girl Dinka lives in Samara with her mother and sisters. Her childhood coincided with difficult times that followed the revolution of 1905. Dinka’s father, who was involved in distributing leaflets calling for the overthrow of цар’s power, is forced to hide abroad. Dinka has a friend—Lenka, an orphan boy—together with whom she finds herself drawn into a whirlwind of events that not every adult could handle. But friendship, love, and trust can work miracles and help overcome any obstacles.
